KATSINA POLICE FOIL BANDITS' ATTACK, RESCUE 18 VICTIMS

In a daring operation, the Katsina State Police Command successfully foiled a kidnap attempt and rescued 18 victims on January 3, 2025. The police also recovered rustled animals from the bandits.
According to reports, the bandits ambushed four vehicles along the Funtua to Gusau highway, but the police quickly responded and engaged the bandits in a gunfight. The police successfully repelled the attack and rescued all 18 victims unharmed.
In a separate incident, the police also foiled a cattle rustling attempt in Gidan Gada village, Kafur LGA, Katsina State. The police recovered all the rustled animals, but unfortunately, the DPO Kafur sustained a gunshot injury during the encounter and is currently receiving treatment.
The Commissioner of Police Katsina State Command, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the exceptional act of valour displayed by the officers and urged the public to continue supporting the command with timely information.
